DR. DENIS GILHOOLY

Dr. Denis Gilhooly has some three decades of experience in the field of information and communications technologies (ICT) for development. He is currently founder and Executive Director of the Global Digital He@lth Initiative (GDHI), a public-private partnership at the intersection of the ICT and pharmaceutical communities.

He has worked extensively in the private sector as Vice President, Business Development, Teledesic LLC (the Internet-in-the Sky venture of Bill Gates and Craig McCaw), Media & Technology Director, The Wall Street Journal Europe/Dow Jones, and founder and Editorial & Publishing Director, Communications Week International, The Networked Economy, Global Mobile and the ITU TELECOM Daily Newspaper and Conferences. He was Editor-in-Chief of Telecommunications International and Communications Engineering International, and European Editor of Photonics Spectra and the Journal of Electronic Defense magazines, and a regular contributor to publications including the Financial Times, The Independent, The Guardian, The Economist and the International Herald Tribune.

He currently serves as a member of the board of the Advanced Development for Africa (ADA) Foundation and was a founding Commissioner of the Global Information Infrastructure Commission (GIIC), lead author and member of both of the Irish Government’s Advisory Committees on Telecommunications and ICT, and Executive Secretary and lead author of the G8 Digital Opportunity Task Force (DOT-Force), Director of the Digital Opportunity Initiative, and a founding member of the United Nations ICT Task Force.

Richard was President of an international promotions company with a background in the international insurance industry as well as international sales, marketing and promotions. His knowledge and experience of actuarial and statistical analysis was honed while working for major insurers such as AIG in the design of specialist insurance products.

The insurance industry relies on the analysis of statistical and actuarial data of all kinds to create new products and to ensure that risks are adequately covered for those that need to make a claim. The industry also relies upon creativity and strategic thinking when designing and marketing new products. This kind of creativity and strategic thinking as well as statistical analysis is also important to the success of the Billion Dollar Raffle.

He is regarded as innovative by his peers for his ideas and creative thinking to the business and product creation. He has designed many types of products and programs such as warranties, groundbreaking motor products and redemption based promotional programs including mail-in rebates. His promotional programs and concepts have been successfully launched, marketed and utilized in 21 countries around the world.

His strengths include exceptional verbal and written skills, the ability to develop streamlined business processes and a constant attention to all areas of a business to ensure effectiveness and efficiency throughout all departments. Born and raised in the east coast of Canada. Married and we have a son that finished his business degree in university and moved to western Canada to work as an insurance broker. My career of thirty five and a half years was in the fire service in the oldest incorporated city in Canada. I received my Certificate in Fire Service Administration at Dalhousie University and worked my way through the ranks retiring at the position of District Fire Chief. I was involved in sports throughout my life competing twice nationally in baseball, three times nationally in judo and competed provincially in hockey. I also enjoy the outdoors involving hunting, fishing, canoeing and riding all terrain vehicles.

I have been involved in a number of home based businesses over the years, as I always wanted to be able to give both financially and of myself to my family and friends. I always believed with the right opportunity I would be able to help a lot of people.

Bill Clark has worked at NBC Studios for the more than 32 years. He began his career as a producer/editor/engineer for NBC radio. He collaborated with producers and talent on various news and musical content, and was responsible for running entire programs, including building commercials and promos. He saw television as a stronger more expanding means of communication. Bill has travelled from the war torn Yugoslavia to the bush of Africa, providing entertaining and informative broadcast material for the various news divisions. His talent as an editor and producer won him many accolades. He has been nominated for 18 Emmy Awards, winning 5 Emmy Awards and the National Easter Seal Award. He consistently shows his determination and dedication to provide viewers a fair detailed story. There have been many occasions where Bill will collaborate with other producers, writers, and talent, working long hours for quick turn-around to air, making for a noteworthy story.

His technical knowledge of all facets of television production enables Bill to work with various shows throughout the company. He troubleshoots complex situations and always allows every product to make air. His skills and constant thirst for learning have allowed Bill to be at the forefront of new technology.

Bill is currently the lead Editor/Producer for NBC News, working with a variety of shows including: Today Show, Nightly News, Dateline, Weekend Today, and NBC Sports, Sunday Night Football, in particular. He has the ability to establish and maintain effective communication and rapport with peers, clients and management, which allows for prompt, efficient, responsible projects expected from any corporation.

His professionalism, experience and extensive knowledge of most technical production machinery, in addition to his writing and audio skills, provides a solid base and broad understanding of business related operations and practices. He is keenly aware of the importance of completing assignments on time, within budget, and to the client’s total satisfaction, that has made him a valuable asset to NBC. ANTHONY HUIE

As a young man having migrated from his birthplace in the Caribbean Nation of Jamaica West Indies; Mr. Huie was formally educated in North America more specifically in Canada. From as early as he can remember he was a student of the Arts, Sports and Entertainment community. This has resulted in his more than 30 years of sports experience, specializing in youth development of the Educational as well as internationally professional opportunities by way of Football (Soccer). From his earlier successes of bringing the world renowned Footballer Mr. Zinedine  Zidane, world year of the child ambassador and corporate sponsored by the Dannon Yogurt giant, for the Zidane tri-city North American charity tour, to having brought the very first Canadian youth team to the Gothia Cup (Sweden) and Dana Cup (Denmark) at a time when such things were but dreams for the participants, Mr. Huie now has his new and “my most cherished opportunity” in his sights.

Amongst his many achievements over the past decades, Mr. Huie’s passion for the Arts has brought him great joy. He is presently a member of the “Dream To Lead” team which is a television series that is designed to share personal stories about leaders and CEOs with the goal to inspire youth to explore the world of business and entrepreneurship.   The programs of the television series are focused on the synergy between youthful dreams and corporate social responsibilities. In addition to his Leadership and advisory roles, Mr. Huie is the Executive Director of BACKSACK International’s “DreakSpeak” speaker’s circuit.
His role is not easily lost when you consider partners such as the University of Southern California’s Media Institute of Social Change as well as the Alliance of Women Directors.  Mr. Huie has authored several books and has written a screen play entitled, “The Spirit That Guides Us” which is his memoir.

Frank has served as a business entrepreneur consultant assisting hundreds of new business owners get started in the setup and operation of their business.  He has domain knowledge of business & industry, understands modern management theories, employ process/quality improvement techniques and sometimes quality process standards if required.  He has 30+ years of management experience, is a highly decorated combat veteran, and has served as a federal law enforcement officer.  His organizational skills and experience are unmatched anywhere.
